How long does it take to finish a personalised jigsaw?

If you've done photo jigsaws before, there's a simple rule: if you double the number of pieces, you increase the time needed by four! So if a 100-piece puzzle takes you 30 minutes, a 200-piece puzzle would take around two hours. It's widely suggested that a 500-piece puzzle will take the average person about five or six hours. Experienced puzzlers can complete a 1,000-piece jigsaw in about 10 hours but the average person might need up to 24 hours.

What type of photo will make a jigsaw puzzle more or less difficult?

Images with well defined colours and areas of interest tend to make jigsaw puzzles easier, as you can separately build each part before making up the whole picture. Good contrast in your photo will make things easier, as opposed to images that are murky and blurry.

Can photo jigsaws be framed like photos or drawings?

Yes, you can turn your puzzle into a fancy piece of home decor, just use a special puzzle glue on both sides to keep it together. It's a good idea to mount your photo jigsaw onto a foam board for added stability before sliding it into a frame. Hang with an extra hook if you're worried about the weight.
