Stan joined PhotoBox in 2006 as CEO following the successful merger of the UK business with leading French counterpart, Photoways Group to form Europe’s leading online personal publisher. Under Stan’s leadership, PhotoBox has grown its revenues from £18m in 2006 to £69m in 2010.
Previously held positions at AOL as Director for Strategy, Finance and Operations at AOL Bertelsmann in France in 1995 where he pioneered easy internet access for consumers before serving as Chief Operating Officer for the European region. Prior to his work at AOL, he managed portfolios at the German Privatisation Agency and began his online career for London based auctioneer QXL, supervising the company’s European expansion and aiding its Initial Public Offering. Stan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Lawrence joined PhotoBox in 2007 as Commercial Director. Merritt's passion and strategic results driven approach combined with 18 years' experience in online marketing and commercial business development are the driving force behind the organisation trading success. Dedicated to the dynamic, fast paced online sector, Merritt first started his career with eight years at ZDNET & Ziff-Davis, rising to Ad Director before moving to become part of the launch team for Expedia in Europe. He then moved on to Yahoo! working across key areas of the business, from heading up the European SEM team to being appointed European Director of Central Marketing.
Alan joined Photobox in 2011 from Autoquake, where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this, he worked for Expedia Inc. His most recent position was VP Finance, Hotels.com Worldwide and Venere.com, where he worked on the globalization of this business. Before this, as VP Finance, Expedia Europe, Alan provided financial leadership during a period of major international expansion for Expedia Inc’s activities in Europe.
Alan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and qualified at KPMG, where he started his career, working for almost 6 years in both audit and transaction services.
